Catherine gave me my first break in journalism, way back with Western Ontario Business. She hired me to fill in for one of the staff writers, who in turn filled in for her while she was on her first maternity leave. It seems the mentoring instinct came early for Catherine. I was saddened to read of her passing. I extend my deepest sympathies to all her family.

I was saddened to hear of Catherines passing. When I graduated she was the first person that truly helped me get a foothold in the working world. She always had a kind word and truly wanted the best for people. She gave of herself and thats something to be celebrated.

Catherine was a friend whom I got to know through Fanshawe where I was retired from. She and I worked to add to the value of the bursary/scholarship I had set up. We also eventually shared breast cancer diagnoses. She was a truly unique person, talented, compassionate, and so dedicated to making the world a better place. I will miss her so much.

Catherine was an extraordinary woman -- a strong and dedicated leader, a loyal friend, a mother who was so very proud of her wonderful children. She touched my life in many ways, and I am grateful for her kindness and generosity. I remember once many years ago when I was a bit worried about a mammogram result and had to go back for another appointment, she offered to keep me company. I remember, too, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with Catherine and Jim, because we were married on the same day. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family -- hang onto the many happy memories.

Jim and family, we send you our sympathy at your loss. Catherine was a woman of many accomplishments. Perhaps her greatest talent was her ability to inspire individuals to volunteer their skills and resources to benefit others in the Fanshawe & greater London community. She had a remarkable gift for bringing out the very best in others. Deservedly, she will be missed by the throng of people she befriended and inspired with her kind and generous self. "Wonderful" is too inadequate a word to capture the uniqueness of Catherine. We are snowed in on the Bruce & unable to attend the Celebration. We are with you in spirit.

Jim and family - my deepest condolences - Catherine was a friend and colleague at Fanshawe and I valued and learned from her commitment to volunteering - as I was new to London when I came to Fanshawe she opened the doors for me to my first Board volunteer role at Museum London. My thoughts are with you - the memorial service yesterday was a fitting tribute to Catherine.

We very much regret that we could not attend the memorial service in honour of Catherine. We were out of the country all last week with our son and grandchildren in the Dominican Republic.
We offer our sincerest condolences and will miss the ongoing contact we had with her very much. She was a great ambassador for Fanshawe.
