Joseph Crich

Death Notice

CRICH, Joseph Albert - Born March 12th, 1937, passed away peacefully at McCormick Home, London on February 5th, 2018 at age 80. He is survived by his daughter Rosalie (Gregory) and grandchildren Graham, Lucas, and Hannah, as well as step children Kathy (Rob), Bill (Alison), Jim (Sue), and Karen (Alan) and their children. He is also survived by his sister Ada and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-decreased by both his Uncle Harold Crich (1998) and Aunt Rosalie (Crawford) Crich (1982) who raised him, and by his birth parents Nelson Crich (1971) and Eleanor (Townshend) Crich (1937) and his siblings Rosalie Joan, Ardeth, Jerry, Lawrence, Evelyn, Margaret, Donald, and Abbie.

Growing up in London, he attended H.B. Beal Secondary School where he began learning the trade of carpentry. He went on to a career of building homes in London and the surrounding area. As a child, his parents purchased a cottage on Lake Huron north of Goderich, close to many family relatives. Joe spent many happy days over the years at the family cottage. No trip to the cottage was ever complete without a drive around “the square” in Goderich.

The family wishes to thank the staff of both Westmount Gardens Long-Term Care Community and McCormick Home.

A memorial service will be held at the Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond, London on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 2 pm with a visitation preceding the service from 1 to 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
