MARTENS, Elaine - On Friday May 11 2018, Elaine Martens peacefully passed away at Country Terrace. She was born in Toronto on April 8, 1943 to Cyril and Florence Pezzack. Devoted wife of 52 years to Tony. Wonderful mother of Guy (Heather) of Toronto and Philip (Marisa) of Komoka. Proud Grandma of Abbey, Sofie, Olivia and Vanessa. Dear sister of Bill Pezzack (Ruth) of Peterborough and sister-in-law of Kim Martens of Paris, France.
Elaine served as Past President and active member of both the Garden Club of London and London Newcomers Alumnae Club. Elaine will be fondly remembered by many friends for her fabulous planning of day trips and dedication to both organizations.
A special thanks to the amazing staff at Country Terrace, especially Mirna, Theresa, Heather and Susan who took such good care of Elaine during her stay there.
A celebration of life will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, on Friday May 18th at 11:30 am, followed by a reception.
Those wishing to make a donation in Elaine's memory are asked to consider The Garden Club of London or a charity of their choice.

We have been blessed and honored to have Elaine as our special friend for the past 46 years. Her positive outlook, genuine warmth and love have made our life journey together a very happy one. Elaine was a very special long time member of the Garden Club of London.
She sponsored me when I joined the garden club in 2008. She will be missed and remembered by many of us at the garden club.
