LITTLE, Sally - Peacefully at University Hospital, London, after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Charlotte Ann ‘Sally’ Little (nee Merwin) of London age 81. She will be missed by her husband James Henry ‘Kim’; son Ross and his wife Dorothy of Oakville and grandchildren Andrew and Katie; daughter Mary and her husband Richard-Yves Sitoski of Owen Sound and her step-grandson Daniel; and son Michael and his wife Susan of Oakville and grandchildren Marley, Miles and Emily.

Sally spent her early years in Foleyet and Sudbury, Ontario. She studied nursing at Toronto Western Hospital and McGill University. She was actively involved in her community including: as a member of the organizing committee of the program receiving Vietnamese refugees through St John the Evangelist Church, she herself personally hosted a large number of refugees; she was also a puppeteer with the Maycourt Marionettes and a counselor with the Contact Crisis Centre.
Her fondest times were those spent with her husband and family skiing at Moose Manor and Moose Lookout atop Blue Mountain, in the outdoors in Northern Ontario, sailing the North Channel, and exploring the high Arctic. She cherished elegant, formal family get-togethers which were coloured with her unique brand of whimsy.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 10 2-4PM at Harris Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Monday, June 11, 12:00 noon at the Church of St John the Evangelist, London. Memorial donations may be made to St John the Evangelist Endowment Fund or Lakefield College School Foundation.

Sally was a force larger than life and I enjoyed every minute I spent in her company. Although I saw her infrequently her brilliant smile and generous heart are imprinted on memory. Sally will always live on in the lives and actions of her children and grandchildren.

We were saddened to learn about Sally who was such a bright light among the .Poopsies. Her hospitality in London and at the ski chalet were wonderful and now knowing her community work know she will be much missed. Barry joins me in sending our sympathy to Kim and all the family.

Dear Kim, Ross, and Little family
I have only the fondest memories of my dear “Little Mrs Little” as I affectionately called Sally. She was always so kind, generous-spirited,
and supportive of me and what I was doing at Lakefield (even if her dear Kim was less supportive, on the very odd occasion :-)
I always had fun, in a playful way, with Sally. She always made me smile. Big smiles.
Most simply, Sally was lovely - in every respect.
My and Susan’ sympathies are very much with you at this very difficult time.
An especially big hug of support and condolence to you, Kim.
David and Susan Hadden.

Sally made the world brighter with her ready laugh and wry wit. She was a fine and steady classmate as we navigated the changing and challenging world of nursing training. And even some show biz via Whites in Revue. Her generous spirit extended to my growing family and led to some exuberant times on the ski slopes accessible right from her chalet door. What wonderful memories generated by a very warm, inclusive personality. We celebrate her life and hold her family in our thoughts at this time of great loss. Janis Alton (Weatherley)
