WINSTANLEY, William - Passed away at University Hospital, London with his wife by his side on November 10, 2019, in his 87th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Triffie; his daughter Tracey Burrows (John); son Peter (Melanie); granddaughters Kirsten and Rebecca and grandson Steven. Predeceased by his son John, parents Mary and William Winstanley, and his sisters Ruth, Thelma, and Vina. Bill will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Bill was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia in 1933 and came to Ontario in 1947. He graduated from Western Ontario Business School (Ivey) in 1957. Bill worked with several companies over the years, including Carling O’Keefe (Molson’s) and John Labatt Limited. In 1970, he received his Certified General Accountants Designation, and was President of the Certified General Accountants of Ontario from 1993-1994 (now known as Certified Professional Accountants). Always active in his community, Bill especially enjoyed coaching minor baseball and hockey teams. Bill lost his life to dementia, but not his love for life, a good laugh, dancing, fishing and telling a good story. Remember him with smiles and laughter.

A Service to Celebrate Bill’s Life will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, on Thursday, November 14 at 11:30 am, with visitation preceding from 10 to 11:30 am. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
