My sincerest sympathy to Ruth and family at the passing of Jim. We worked together on many projects during our years at Nortel. A serious engineer with a great sense of humor. Loved it! He will be missed. Chuck McEwan

James will be dearly missed by so many of his friends at the Society for Learning in Retirement, to which he volunteered so much time and expertise. I benefited from his knowledge and experience often, and will miss his sense of humour most. My condolences to Ruth, and to his children and grandchildren. May he be at peace.

Heartfelt condolences to Ruth and family. I knew Jim through Probus of North London. Jim was a real gentleman and I always enjoyed his company in any groups we were in together. He had such a warm smile. You are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Dear Ruth:
I am so saddened to hear of the recent loss of James. As support to me at Met, James was always kind, patient and knowledgeable. He had a lovely sense of humour and was certainly dedicated to any of his pursuits. He never made me feel inept but rather provided his immense expertise to trouble shoot with me until there was resolution and knew that I understood how we got there. To me he was the definition of “gentleman.” My condolences to you and your family.
Cathy Bear, former Office Administrator
Metropolitan United Church
