SHAW, Margaret - Passed into God’s Hands on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at University Hospital, Margaret Shaw of London. Beloved wife for 53 years of Norman. Dear sister of William Mazmanian and the late John, Harry and Hazel. Also remembered by sisters-in-law Donna Simpson (Malcolm) and Diane Shaw, and her nieces and nephews.
Margaret’s last words were “Norm was my love-match”. She proudly served with the RCMP in the records section for 30 years and made many dear friends with staff and members. She was very artistic, and had an eye for the ‘best buy’ when shopping.
Private family service at Harris Funeral Home followed by interment St. John’s Cemetery, Arva. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Condolences may be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org

Condolences to Uncle Norm from Sandy and I. I will always remember the times Auntie Marg spent with me as a child, helping me get my first paper route, ice skating at Dickson Park in Galt, lights for my bicycle, and seeing you Friday nights at Grandma’s after Mom took Grandma and I grocery shopping. But the event I remember most is when you took me to my brother Owen’s grave when I was 6 or 7 years old, who I did not know about, who died at birth. You taught me to be confident and caring and I will always be grateful to you for always being there for me. Your Nephew Bunny

I was very sorry to hear that Marg was ill and now of her passing. I have worked with Marg at the RCMP for many years. She was a very sweet and respectful person who cared about her coworkers. A real “lady”. I enjoyed chatting with her when we when we would cross each others path in the hallways or when we were heading out for lunch. I admired her dedication to the workforce. I understand she had a whole other full career in the private sector before coming to the RCMP. That is a very rare feat indeed! I will truly miss her smile. Peace be with Marg, you and all her family.

I had the honour of meeting Marg in late 2018 and working with her since then. I will always remember her amazing sense of fashion and how amazingly classy she was. I will miss the occasional lunch time walk with her and I will miss our chats. She may not have realized it but she helped me thru some hard times. Marg will forever be in my memories & I will smile whenever I think of her.

I had the honour and pleasure of working with Marg on and off, for many years. She was a very special lady, kind, hardworking, caring, loving, witty and fiesty when she needed to be. One of the things I will remember most about her was how sharp she was and her witty comebacks. There was no pulling the wool over her eyes...she HAD you.... and I never tried. Over our several decades of being colleagues and friends, I have always admired her work ethic, her determination, her dedication to her job and her loyalty to the RCMP. She approached everything with passion and commitment. She put her heart into everything she did and she did it well. I enjoyed her as a coworker and valued the friendship that grew over the years. We had a special bond, shared many laughs, many tears and often laughed until we cried. I loved her laugh as much as I loved her smile. She was also quite the little fashionista. She was a great conversationalist, I will miss that. Margaret was that person you could share all the milestones of your life, triumphs and defeats with. When I lost my dad during the height of this pandemic I will never forget the emotional support, sympathy and compassion she had shown me during that difficult time. It is very hard for me to accept the fact that I will never see Margaret walk through our office door again. I am, however grateful I reminded Marg over the years how valuable a team member she was in times when she doubted herself. It is very difficult for me to write this, in fact it pains me having to say goodbye to such a remarkable lady.
She will be lovingly remembered and profoundly missed by all who knew her and this world for sure is a better place because our Marg was in it. As I look at her picture provided, all I can say is, what a beauty! Norm you sure were one lucky guy!!
Norm and Family - I extend my sincerest condolences to you all, it was quite evident in the stories she shared she loved you all deeply. May it be a consolation to you that Margaret is now at peace.
Marg, I will never forget you. Ever. You may be in Heaven but we will always have you near in our hearts. Rest in peace dear friend.

My condolences to Norm and family. Working with Marg in Records was such a treat. I looked forward to what outfit she would wear as she was always dressed to the nines, and loved to hear of where she and Norm were vacationing next. She will be missed.

Norm and family,
The RCMP was lucky to have Marg as an employee. She was sharp, reliable and very efficient as she knew her policies and followed them through to the “T”. As a co-worker I was lucky to know Marg from her first days starting in Records. Marg became a friend, a confidant, a Records’ groupie and was well respected by all her coworkers.
I am so sorry for you lost!
I wonder if there is a Personnel Records in Heaven?
