Peacefully at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, London Ontario on Sunday September 5th in his 72nd year, Mike Mohs passed away.
In his early years, Mike received his pneumatic and mechanical training from the US Navy which led to his love of submarines and the water. After several years of providing equipment service and training, Mike, always the entrepreneur, invented safety equipment used in the automotive industry, and consulted as an expert witness in this area in several court cases. Mike had a great love of food and as his second career, built from the ground up a winemaking business which helped satisfy his culinary passions. He managed this business for several years until a stroke forced his early retirement eight years ago. Despite the difficulties left by the stroke, Mike greatly enjoyed reading, discussing politics and other current events, and continued his research into food, wine, and other culinary adventures.
Mike will be remembered for his creativity, spirit of generosity, and sense of humour. He will be never forgotten, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke, or in support of a pet charity, or a charity of your choice are gratefully acknowledged.
