EASTMAN, Douglas - Peacefully, at University Hospital, on January 7, 2022 Douglas passed away in his 80th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 57 years to Valerie and cherished father to daughter Shauna. Douglas is survived by his cousin Edward Russell whom he considered his brother, sisters-in-law Noreen Holbrough, Laura Dunn, Jane Graham, and Marsha Holbrough. Predeceased by his parents Mildred and Bruce, stepfather Edgar Howlett and brothers-in-law Carmen Holbrough and Harold Holbrough.

Douglas was a retired Investment Advisor from CIBC Wood Gundy where he spent the majority of his career and enjoyed a regular lunch date with the boys even after retirement. Douglas was an avid golfer and active member of Sunningdale Golf & Country Club where his time was spent playing rounds, chipping and putting, and the weekly Friday night dinners with friends. He enjoyed downhill skiing in his younger years as it was an adventure and he wanted to spend time with Shauna. He was Shauna’s biggest cheerleader and also enjoyed cheering on the Western Mustangs Football team at Homecoming, the London Knights and the Toronto Maple Leafs. After retirement Douglas would spend his winters in Fort Myers, Florida with Valerie so that he could always have a golf club in hand.
