Death Notice

TAYLOR, Glen - Passed peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex Hospital on Monday, April 18, 2022 in his 82nd year. God saw how hard Glen was struggling from his short battle with Lung cancer. He reached down and gently called him home. Predeceased by his parents Ernie, Kathleen (1943) and Dorothy. Left behind to grieve is his wife and best friend of almost 60 years, Nancy. Beloved father of Jeff (Dawn) Taylor, Dave (deceased 2007) and his wife Kerri, Sean Taylor, and Michelle (Mike) Douwes. He was blessed with six grandchildren Rachael and Brayden Taylor, Amanda and Victoria Taylor, and Mackenzie and Matthew Douwes. He leaves behind four siblings Nancy (the late Ron) Gould, John (Carol) Taylor, Marlene (Lee) Keddie and Barb (Gerry) King. He has 3 sisters-in-law Ruth (the late Bob) Young, Gail (Barry) Irwin and Cathy Taylor. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Glen lived a full life, enjoying his time spent both in Florida and here at home. He will be greatly missed by many but not forgotten. Glen worked as an accountant with 3M for 33 years until retirement. We would like to thank the wonderful nurses on the 2nd floor of Strathroy Hospital for their kind and compassionate care while he was with them. The funeral service will take place at Forest City Bible Church, 1889 Wonderland Rd N, on Saturday, April 23 at 3 pm, with visitation preceding from 2-3 pm at the church. Private interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Bible Society or the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated.
