Ann Buechler

Obituary

BUECHLER, Elizabeth Ann – It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ann on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in her 66th year. Cherished daughter of the late Henry and Barbara Buechler. Predeceased by her devoted grandparents William Charters and Ruth Francis Sproat. Beloved aunt of Jamie Buechler, his wife Karen and great aunt of Abigail, whom she loved so dearly. Caring sister of John Buechler and his wife Tine. Ann will be sadly missed by her dearest friend Elizabeth (Liz) Paterson. Ann and Liz were friends for over 35 years and had many great memories together.

Ann was always passionate about education and teaching. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 with her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. From here, Ann started her career teaching elementary school. After a few years, she went on to complete her nursing degree and then began teaching nursing at H.B Beal Secondary School in London Ontario in 1988. In later years, Ann taught in home rooms and then in the library before she retired. She touched the lives of many students and fellow teachers over the course of her career. Her positive outlook, kindness and selflessness never went unnoticed. Ann had a love for all animals, especially horses. She was also very generous, donating to many charities and organizations over the years. Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be conducted at Avondale Cemetery, 4 Avondale Avenue, Stratford on Friday, December 10 at 11:30 a.m. Please meet at the cemetery office. A celebration of life will follow the graveside service.

Memorial contributions to Mission Services London (missionservices.ca), Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F) (www.arfontario.com) or SARI Therapeutic Riding (sari.ca) would be gratefully acknowledged.
