Barry Mills

Obituary

MILLS, Barry – Surrounded by family and love, Barry Ernest Mills of London in his 71st year passed peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Beloved husband of Pam and best friend for 30 years. Dear brother of Sandra and Laurie (Don) Mills. Father of Ryan and Tanis Mills. Predeceased by his twin brother Larry and his parents Russell and Georgina. Barry will also be missed by mother-in-law Lou Kuntz, brothers-in-law, John and Alan Kuntz, sister-in-law Vanessa Kuntz, niece Mackenzie Kuntz and nephew Matthew Lewis.

Barry worked for CN Rail for over 20 years as a Conductor Engineer. He then owned and operated Richmond Winery for 12 years. In retirement, he enjoyed groundskeeping at Firerock Golf Club and spending time at the Muskoka cottage he helped build.  Barry treasured his time at the cottage and he spent the last 11 summers boating around the lake and sitting on the dock with his constant companion, Chance by his side.

Barry excelled at whatever he pursued: baseball, golf, tennis, landscaping, and woodworking. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a kind, generous and compassionate man with a great sense of humour. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation on Saturday, April 26 from 2-4 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.
