Obituary

DAVIS, William “Bill” H. – In his 95th year, passed away quietly at home on November 7th, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” (Watson) Davis; loving father of Michael Davis of Victoria, Leslie Davis of London and Thomas Davis of North Vancouver; dear grandfather to Colin and Shannon and great grandfather to Abigail and William of Victoria.

Bill grew up in Toronto and enjoyed his summers on Ward’s island with his siblings Gertrude, Richard, Evans, and James “Pat,” and friends, sailing at the R.C.Y.C. and playing basketball with his brothers at the YMCA. After graduating from the University of Toronto, Bill taught for 35 years at the University of Western Ontario in the faculty of Civil Engineering with a year of study in Delft, NL. Life in London brought enjoyment through curling, darts, bowling, lawn bowling, LAP search and rescue, coffee with friends and through his care and engagement with Saint Jude’s Anglican Church.

The family would like to thank all his doctors and nurses, LHSC, Canadian Blood Services, South West LHIN, ParaMed, the palliative team, and all his care providers, family and friends for their comfort, care and support.
