Obituary

SMITH, Bruce B. – At his residence with family by his side, Bruce Byron Smith of London passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Marion (Bogie) for 65 years. Loved Father of David (Carla) and Cathy. Loving Grandfather of Devin (Caitlin), Tarynne (Paul) and Mitchell and proud great-grandfather of Brice and Nyla. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Dorothy and his nieces and nephews.

Bruce was born on July 18, 1929. He was predeceased by his sisters Bernice (Harold) Skinner, June (Clyde) Edge, and his brother Ross. Bruce was the first Student Council President of H.B. Beal Secondary School in 1948. He had a long career in finance then he changed fields and worked in stained glass. His hobbies were building things, woodworking as well as coaching hockey. Bruce’s favourite times were spent around the table in the back porch of his cottage, playing cards, laughing and joking with his family and friends.

We are so truly appreciative of the support we have received, from our friends and family, during this period of Bruce’s journey. Thank you all.
