Catherine Elliott

Obituary

ELLIOTT, Catherine (McBride) – Passed peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London, surrounded by family, on Monday, January 17, 2022 in her 77th year.

Loving wife of Glen Elliott for over 30 years. Cherished mother of Veronica Douglas (Peter Metcalfe) and of Kevin Douglas (Lianne Armstrong). Proud Nana to Chernet and Tesfanesh.

Survived by her siblings: Lena Ford, Jack McBride, and Stewart McBride. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and her extended family in Canada and Scotland.

Catherine was born in Balloch, Scotland in 1945. She immigrated to Canada at the age of 20, settling in Kitchener, Ontario. She raised her children mainly in Port Elgin but would call many places home, including; Orangeville, Oakville, Toronto and Richmond, British Columbia. She retired to London, Ontario to be close to her grandchildren.

Catherine will be remembered most for her joyful nature. She would rarely be seen without a smile on her face. She doted on her family and cherished every moment with them.

Catherine loved dancing, singing, and travelling to warm destinations with Glen. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when Covid restrictions ease.

Memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
