Doris Roe

Obituary

ROE, Doris – Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Extendicare London on Thursday February 28 2019 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of James Roe, dear mother to James, Deborah and Nicholas. Loving Nannie to Kristopher, Rhys, Devin, Sarah and Meghan. Great-Grandmother to Dani and Logan. Predeceased by her brother Bob Bishop. In her younger years Doris enjoyed dancing to the Beatles, swimming and winning the Pancake Race in Olney. She felt very lucky to have a great group of friends “from across the pond” here in London and enjoyed many wonderful times with them. Most mornings she could be found in Springbank Park chatting with friends and enjoying her regular coffee shop stop. Doris was a beautiful knitter and her baby hats were coveted by many and gratefully received in donation to Health Sciences North in Sudbury. During her last few years she took great pride in looking after her husband Jim at home.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London on Thursday March 7 2019 at 2 pm. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Extendicare or a charity of your choice.
