Obituary

SUTTON, A. Douglas – Peacefully after a short illness at University Hospital on Sunday, March 24, 2019, Allen Douglas Sutton of London and formerly of St. Thomas in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis Sutton, nee Templain (2010). Loving father of Marie Hatherall and her husband Randy of London, Stacey Litalien and her husband Ron of Sault Ste. Marie and Andrea Cecchetto and her husband Ron of Barrie. Dear grandfather of Aaron (Kim), Melanie, Neil and Kristen (Dan) Hatherall and Jacob and his fiancée Sarah, Nathaniel (Sophia) and Mark Cecchetto. Also remembered by brother-in-law Jack Templain of Port Colborne. Son of the late Ina and Rae Sutton. Special thanks to the caregivers at Elmwood Place and the nurses at 4th Floor University Hospital, who were exceptional in their care for all of us. A memorial service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 280 St. James St. at Wellington on Tuesday, March 26 at 11 am with visitation preceding in the church from 10-11 am. Reception to follow the service. Cremation with private interment at Elmdale Cemetery, St. Thomas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Capital Campaign or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
