Obituary

KUNTZ, Edward – Peacefully at home with family at his side on Thursday, November 28, 2024, Edward William Kuntz of London in his 97th year.

Beloved husband for 69 years of Lou (Luella).  Loving father of John of New Dundee, Pamela Mills (Barry) of London, and Alan (Vanessa) of Guelph.  Proud Grandpa and Papa of Mackenzie Kuntz and Matthew Lewis.   Dear brother of the late Sister Delores Kuntz, Patricia O’Grady, Barbara Schmuck, Peggy Downing, Sister Paula Kuntz, and Sister Mary Lillian Kuntz.  Dear uncle of several nieces and nephews.  He will be deeply missed.

Ed graduated from Western in 1950, Honours Business Administration, and from York University in 1958 with his CPA. He began his career in London, Ontario at McHale Shoes and moved in 1961 to Kitchener to join Savage Shoes, where he became Vice-President in 1967.  In 1982, he moved back to London and joined Jones Box and Label as Vice-President of Finance.  Ed retired in 1993, and together with Lou enjoyed travel, bridge and golf.  He served with Kiwanis for many years and was also an accomplished artist.

Visitation on Saturday, January 11 from 2-4 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond.  Private family service and interment later at St. John’s Cemetery, Arva.  The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Hamilton, Dr. Stack and the St. Elizabeth staff for their kindness, care and support. Memorial contributions to the London Food Bank would be appreciated.
