Visitation on Friday, June 2 from 7-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James at Richmond.

SERVICE

A memorial service will be conducted at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford St. E. at Wellington, on Saturday, June 3 at 11 am.

Obituary

MURRAY, Elizabeth (Betty) – Peacefully surrounded by family at University Hospital on Monday, May 29, 2023, Elizabeth J. (Betty) Murray, nee Granger in her 90th year. She died 8 years to the day after her beloved husband, Joseph H. (Joe) Murray. Loving mother of John and his wife Susan of Guelph, David and his wife Joanelle of Hamilton, and Susan and her husband Greg Vail of Milton. Cherished Grandma of Benjamin and Jonathan, Tianna and Aleia, and Emma. Sister of the late Harold (Helen) Granger. Aunt to Wayne, Diane and the late Gary.  Betty was passionate about music. She started as a choir director at New St. James Presbyterian Church at the age of 16, and enjoyed a long tenure with the church. She also taught piano for over 40 years. At home, she loved her West Highland and Scottish Terriers. Most of all, she treasured time with her family, especially during summer vacations along Lake Huron. Visitation on Friday, June 2 from 7-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James at Richmond. A memorial service will be conducted at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford St. E. at Wellington, on Saturday, June 3 at 11 am. Private interment later, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions to New St. James Presbyterian Church or the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated.
