Obituary

ROBAK, Frank – After a lengthy journey with Alzheimers, Frank Joseph Robak died quietly at Victoria Hospital, on Monday, January 23, 2017, in his 88th year. His best friend and beloved wife of 51 years, Doris Rosemary Robak, nee Jones, was by his side. Predeceased by parents Stephen and Martha. Brother of Anne Sartor, Frances Trombley, Helen (Lionel) Perry, the late Mary Sartor (Earl), the late Joseph and Stanley. Brother-in-law of Ronald (deceased), Irwin and Rita Jones, Ken and Freda Jones, Alvin and Florence Jones, Patricia and Thomas Colwell, Richard and Marylin Jones, Larry and Linda Jones, John Jones and Tracy Jewell. His many nieces and nephews will fondly remember Frank’s wonderful stories and positive influence on their lives. Doris and Frank were introduced through friends at a dance. They shared many interests and their love of family. Together, they enjoyed dancing, tennis, travel, the symphony, and theatre. He was a creative man, who helped design and build his own home. Frank’s career started at Kellogg’s as a credit manager. He then became a secondary school teacher with the London School Board and taught business at Laurier and Beal. Frank was a long-time member of London West Rotary Club and Probus Club of London. Doris would like to express her sincere appreciation to all of the caregivers from CCAC and St. Elizabeth Health Care. Along with her family and friends, they helped during Frank’s journey and allowed him to live at home with dignity for so many years. Friends are invited to a memorial reception at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 28. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex or the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated.
