WOOD, George James – Peacefully at Henley Place, with family at his side, on Friday, March 1, 2019, George James Wood was Promoted to Glory in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Mae Wood, nee Mills (2016), the love of his life of 68 years. Loving father of Brenda (Dave) Weaver and Janet Wood. Cherished grandfather of Gregory (Lisa) and Aydin. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Helen and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Gordon and sister Kathleen. George was a long-time employee of Edwards Glass Company where he worked since 1948. The funeral service will be conducted at the Salvation Army Westminster Park Community Church, 1190 Southdale Road East on Saturday, March 9 at 11 am, with visitation preceding in the church from 10 – 11 am. Reception to follow. Private family interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
