VISITATION

Visitation will be held at the Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond on Sunday, March 12 from 2-5 pm.

SERVICE

The funeral service will take place on Monday March 13 at 1:00 pm at St. John The Divine Anglican Church in Arva.

Obituary

DAVIES, Jean (nee Baker) –  Passed away peacefully at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on March 7, 2023 in her 82nd year.  Jean is survived by her beloved husband George; by her loving children Brad (Keri) and Todd (Jen); by her grandchildren Kai, Annie and Taryn and by her brother Gordon Baker (Barbara).  Predeceased by her mother Ruth Baker and father Russell Baker.  

Jeannie devoted her entire adult life to helping others and volunteering.  She sang with the Earl Terry singers and volunteered her talents at nursing homes, entertaining the residents.  Jeannie also gave her time and talents to the church, becoming a Lay Reader in the Anglican Church, presiding over church services substituting when a minister wasn’t available, playing the organ, conducting funeral services for those who had faith, but not affiliated with a church and also conducting Bible Study for many years.  

The family would like to thank Dr. Mahmoud and Dr. Mosey at Alexandra Hospital and the 3rd floor nurses and staff.
