Julia Krajicek

Obituary

Krajicek, Julia – 67, passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2024 at LHSC-University Hospital. Born January 7, 1956 in Matuskovo, Slovakia to Julia and Stefan Soos.

Married for 47 years to Ludovit (Ludwig) Krajicek on June 11, 1977. Deeply missed by her only child Henrietta Schultz and son in-law, Mark Schultz. She cherished her two grandchildren, Zach and Chloe Schultz. Julia is remembered by her sisters Olga (Marian) Kovacic, Edita Matashovska and brothers Frantsek Soos and Oscar Soos (deceased). She will be missed by many friends and family both in Canada and Slovakia.

Julia was a devoted wife and loving mother and adored her two grandchildren. She immigrated to Canada in December 1984 with her husband and daughter. She loved traveling, spending time with friends and family and had a passion for gardening and cooking. Her traditional home-made Slovakian dishes will be greatly missed. Whether a planned party or a drop-in visit, Julia would always make sure you were well fed with delicious food sitting right in front of you with a drink in your hand. She enjoyed watching her criminal mystery shows and mixed it up with comedies of reruns of The Golden Girls. We will always remember our beautiful Babka.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in Stratford (details to follow) as well as a celebration of life in London with close family and friends in the springtime.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
