RUNDLE, Karen – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Teresa Rundle, nee Wilcox, after a brief illness at University Hospital, on January 8, 2025 age 59.
Karen is remembered by her beloved husband and best friend, Greg. She was the proud and fiercely protective mother to her two daughters, Holly and Emily, who will forever hold onto her unconditional love and boundless support.
She is also remembered with love by her brother, Mark of Vancouver. Predeceased by her parents, Gail Samways (2007) and Barrie Wilcox (2023), whose love and kindness lived within her. She is the cherished daughter of Fran Wilcox and Brian Samways, who were guiding lights in her life.
Her dear sister-in-law, Sharon Chambers (the late Mark), shared many treasured memories with Karen and she was the loving Aunt of Kurtis Moore, Craig (Brianne) Moore and Robby Thomas.
Karen adored the times when she was surrounded by her beloved pets—Shirley, her loyal dog, and her three cats, Gurl, Mouse, and Darla. They were not just her companions; they were her family. Karen found magic in the simple pleasures of life. She loved dancing to her favorite songs, with her laughter and joy as infectious as the love she always brought to others. She had an uncanny ability to brighten even the darkest days, always ready with a kind word and a soft place to land. She will be missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19 from 2pm-4pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Humane Society London & Middlesex would be appreciated.
