Obituary

FOWLER, Liz – Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Margaret Elizabeth Fowler of London in her 94th year.

Beloved daughter of the late Rex and Letta (Clement) Fowler.  Dear sister of Robert Fowler (Elizabeth) of Oxford, Michigan.  Aunt of Joanne (Sean), William (Rebecca), Chrissy (Doug), and James.

Fondly remembered by a wide and supportive group of friends including the Princess Elizabeth School (PET) group, members of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Embroiderers’ Guild, and her many fellow parishioners at St. George’s Anglican Church.

Liz grew up in the Blackfriars Neighbourhood of London, born in 1931 in the family home built by her father, where she lived her entire life and was active in her school, church and community. Liz was an elementary school teacher who had a profound and lasting impact on the lives of her students. A loyal and devoted friend, Liz will be fondly remembered and missed by the many people who had the privilege to know her and be part of her life.

A funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 227 Wharncliffe Road North, London, ON N6H 2B6 on Wednesday, December 11 at 11 am, with visitation preceding at the church from 10-11 am.  Cremation followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Liz’s memory may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church online, or at the above address.
