Obituary

BOLAND, Michael John “BoBo” – Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 8th, 2017 at the age of 62. Loving father of Heather Boland and Lindsey Brown (Chris). Devoted sibling to Dianne Luce (Don), Wayne Boland (Susan), Karen Campbell (Mark), Colleen Harris (Frank) and Lorraine Boland. Adored by all his nieces and nephews. Special friend to Kathie Knezevich and loyal friend to many. Predeceased by his parents Jerome and Patricia Boland, also his brother Jerry Boland. On October 15th, 2017 proud Papa Mike poured tears of joy from the heavenly skies to welcome his 1st Grandchild into the world, the beautiful Charlotte Heather Brown. Mike enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends dedicated to creating precious memories. Six favourite words Mike lived by included Love, Respect, Manners, Compassion, Patience and Compromise. Mike was a hard hitting defenseman for several professional hockey teams, including the Buffalo Sabres. Well known to be a kind and supportive mentor, coach, volunteer, and member of the Buffalo Sabres Alumni. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James Street at Richmond, London, Ontario on Saturday, October 28th, 2017. Family and friends are welcome to visitation proceeding from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Service will commence at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Private Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
