SERVICE

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday September 11th at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington St. at Dufferin Ave.

Donations

In lieu of flowers donations to either the Victoria Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the LHSC Pancreatic Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

Obituary

Morgan, Murray Ewen

On Friday, September 6, 2019, Murray, loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 65.

Murray was born on June 12, 1954 in London, Ontario to Murray and Patricia (Creighton). He received his H.B.A., Business Administration at Ivey Business School where he was President of the Undergraduate Business Council. Murray rose through the marketing ranks working for Pop Shoppes Canada, S.C. Johnson & Son and finally Pepsi-Cola International in 40 countries while stationed in Toronto, New York and London, England. Murray returned to London Ontario in 1991 and joined Cara Foods. In 2004, Murray was appointed a part-time Professor at Fanshawe College teaching Global Marketing. Subsequently, as a full-time Professor, Murray played a key role in developing the International Business Program. Murray volunteered on boards for healthcare, education, heritage, tourism and economic development. On September 13, 1997, Murray married Carol McLaughlin. They had two children, Patrick and Kathleen.

Murray had a passion for tennis, golf and beautifying his Victorian home. While living in the U.K. Murray joined two different tennis clubs and completed the London Marathon. He was an avid music lover with eclectic tastes. He loved the Beatles, the Beachboys, Harry Manx, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Patsy Cline, Tom Waits, Drake and Tracey Chapman. Murray was an effective communicator known for his quick wit, integrity, fairness, fun loving and kind treatment of all.

Murray was preceded in death by his father, Murray, and his mother, Patricia. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Patrick and Kathleen, and his sister Pam.
