LOGAN, Patricia- Our hearts are filled with sorrow as we mourn the loss of our dear mother, Grammy, Great Grammy, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Agnes Logan. Born in Durham to Wilfred and Margaret Middleton on May 18, 1938, Pat has reunited with her loving parents and her adoring husband, John Craig Logan and her brother Gerald, when the angels took her home peacefully on May 8, 2020.
Pat was blessed with the love of her husband John for the past 50 years, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Lindsay, with grandsons Kyle (Eva) and Scott, son Scott Lindsay with his wife Mana and grandsons Tyler and Dylan, son Rob Logan with his wife Darlene and grandchildren Shaun and Mackenzie, daughter Debbie Lake with her partner Kevin and grandchildren Ryan (Jena) great granddaughters (Juliette & Elyse) and Jennifer (Sean) great grandson (Joshua) and daughter Teri Lindsay with grandson Jorden (Haley) and daughter Laurie (nee Logan) Sims with her husband Charlie and granddaughters Tory (Curtis) and Julia.
Patricia leaves behind her brothers Ralph (Gloria) and Johnny (Laurie); her sisters Dixie (Larry), Colleen (Rick) Julie (Patrick) Brenda and sister-in-law Helen St. Cyr, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Pat faced every challenge with sheer determination to make a better life for herself and her family. Pat worked tirelessly as an Executive Assistant all the while ensuring that she spent quality time with her children. Pat loved being a Grammy most of all and would delight in spending as much time as she could with each of her grandchildren. As a strong proponent of Education, she encouraged all her children and grandchildren to pursue their academic learning and she was extremely proud of all their achievements. Pat’s generosity extended beyond her family and included supporting many local charities to help those who faced their own struggles and challenges. Pat’s lust for life was evident as she and her husband John, travelled to foreign lands including China, Russia, South America, most of Europe, and Antarctica. As a lover of music, Pat enjoyed going to many concerts, but none more than Engelbert Humperdinck, where she would often play his records and dance around the house beaming with joy. Pat loved to laugh and although not everyone quite understood her sense of humour, for those that did, it provided countless belly laughs that we will forever treasure.
Our family would like to thank Darlene who provided endless companionship, love and quality of life to Pat over this past year. Darlene showed continuous support to our family and her dedication to our mother was a blessing. We will always be grateful to Darlene for bringing sunshine into Pat’s life. We would also like to thank the staff at Parkwood Hospital, and the staff at PeopleCare Oak Crossing for the compassionate care provided.
There will be a family memorial which will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army. Memories of Pat are requested through the Harris Funeral Home website where they will be shared at her celebration of life.
