Pauline Nancy Light
Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 80. Much loved sister of Gloria Lantz of Indiana, Sharon Webster of Dorchester, Allan of North Cobalt, Marilyn of London and John of Charlton. Pauline will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and close friends She was predeceased by her parents William Light, and Gladys Light.
Pauline contracted meningitis in her primary years resulting in brain damage. For most of her life she has been a beneficiary of the Ontario health system. She lived in Ontario Regional Centres at Orillia, Gravenhurst, and Cedar Springs then moving to London with home support by New Frontiers / Community Living.
Pauline was very sociable, curious and artistic. She enjoyed meeting new friends, being outdoors, walks, picnics and handicrafts. She was meticulous and tidy. She had excellent mobility and strength for most of her life, relishing work and physical activity, at which she was able to function semi independently. Attending Friendship Club was the highlight of her week.
Her family is very grateful for the loving support Pauline received from her caregivers.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 20th with visitation at 12:00 PM followed by a 1:00 PM remembrance service at Harris Funeral Home 220 James St at Richmond, London. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to “Friendship Ministries Canada” PO box 66568 RPO Stoney Creek Stoney Creek, ON L8G 5E5 (friendshipministries.ca) would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Donations can be made online or by cheque directly to the charity. Include the following note with your gift “please notify the family”.
