A private family service to celebrate Perry's life will be held at Harris Funeral Home with Pastor John Mackie officiating. Interment will be at the Coldstream Quaker Cemetery.

Obituary

ZAVITZ, R. Perry – R. Perry Zavitz of London, Ontario. Called home at His appointed hour on Sunday May 24th, 2020.

Perry was born in 1928 in London, Ontario. He was the only child of Harold and Neva Zavitz of Coldstream, ON. Predeceased by his first wife, Louise in 1996 after 36 years. Predeceased by his second wife, Sally in 2013 after 14 years. Perry is lovingly remembered by his family, knowing he is at peace and resting in the presence of his Lord. Father of Jeanine Simpson (Brett) of Cookstown, ON and Michael Zavitz (Kathy Webber) of London, ON. Grandfather (Papa) of Bria (Adrian), Jordyn, and Mikayla. Great grandfather of Rylan and Tommy.

Perry was an employee of CFPL-TV for 38 years. Throughout his life, Perry was an avid automotive historian, authoring many books and articles. Perry was an active member of Wortley Baptist Church and Byron Community Church. Giving of his time freely – volunteering at Trans World Radio throughout his retirement. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the entire care team at Westmount Gardens for their compassion and respect during his stay there and in his final days.
