DEEKS, Robert A. – Suddenly at University Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday, September 28, 2017, Robert Angus Deeks of London in his 88th year. Robert worked at Bell Canada for more than 40 years. He worked in Toronto, Saudi Arabia and retired in London. After retirement, Robert travelled the world, ending up in Vancouver for 10 years before returning to London. Loving father of David of Vancouver, Catherine Munro (Jim McCardle) of London, Linda Deeks of London, Bruce (Brenda Collins) in Cochrane, Alberta. Predeceased by his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and John Rowlands. Dear grandfather of Jennifer and Charles (Melissa) Munro and Erin Pienaar (Devin) and great-grandfather of Madison, Billy, Michael and Graham. Brother of Joyce DuBroy (the late Barry) of Cobourg and the late Beatrice Smith and Ruth Penfound. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, on Tuesday, October 3 at 12 noon. Cremation followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Mt. Hope Care and Comfort Fund would be appreciated.
