VISITATION

Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London.

SERVICE

The funeral service will be conducted at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3200 Woodland Ave., Windsor on Wednesday, October 26 at 12 noon, with visitation preceding from 11 am to 12 noon.

Donations

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

Obituary

GILES, Robert – Peacefully with family by his side at Elgin Manor on Thursday, October 20, 2022, Robert Douglas Giles of London and formerly of Windsor, age 96.  Beloved husband for 71 years of Kathleen M. “Kay” Giles. Loving father of Kathy (Hugh) Weekes of North Vancouver, Bob (Terry) Giles of Peterborough, and Nancy (Paul) Giles-McIntosh of London.  Dear Grandpa of Ian, Emily, Carolyn, James, Christina, Kelly, Heather, Maddison and Ariana and great-Grandpa of Chloe, Elliott, Cohen, Carson, Carter, Dylan, Carson and Emily.  Brother of Donald (Eleanor) Giles of Windsor, and the late Zelma (Gord) Williams and Howard (Lila) Giles.

Bob taught for many years at Riverside Secondary School, and retired from Walkerville Secondary School, Windsor.  He served during WWII with the Navy and assisted with training Cadets after the war.  He enjoyed many summers with family at the Kawartha cottage, and curling with friends in the winter.
