Obituary

THOMPSON, Sharon, nee Di Marco

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Thompson, age 69, after a brief illness at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Loving mother of Jeff. Daughter of Florence and the late James Di Marco of Mississauga and sister of James (Barb), Garry (Tammy), Warren (Robin) and Myrna. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and a very large extended family all who will miss her very much.

Sharon worked at the library for many years and was an avid reader, she would often check out 10 books at a time and read them all in the 14 day lending period, when she was introduced to e-books, she was really in her element. She loved learning about other cultures and embraced trying to understand traditions and people that were greatly different from her. She had many interests and could always be found working on a puzzle or crossword, she was an accomplished painter and completed
many beautiful pieces. She was always busy quilting, refinishing furniture or working on other arts and crafts many with a folk art theme. She loved to walk, and would been seen walking in her neighborhood rain or shine. Sharon made friends easily and had many across the country, she was loved.

Private cremation arrangements have been made. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
