SCHMIDT, Sharyn – Passed away peacefully at her home at Chartwell Long Term Care, London on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in her 77th year. Sharyn Elizabeth Schmidt, nee Fountain was born in Stratford, Ontario, daughter of the late Doug and Ruth Fountain.
She was married to the love of her life, Ronald Joseph Schmidt (deceased May 26, 2017) for 52 years. They were blessed with three sons, Dennis (Cara) Schmidt of Thamesford, Jason Schmidt of London, and the late Alan Schmidt (March 1970). Grandmother to Heather, Luke, Drake, Eric and predeceased by Andrew (2015). Great-grandmother to Roddrick. Sister of Doug (Joy) Fountain of Stratford.
Sharyn and her family lived in Stratford and Woodstock. Sharyn and Ron ran R.J.’s Welding in Woodstock for several years before moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1985 where she was a health care provider for the elderly. They retired back to London in 2012. Sharyn was well known for her kindness and for her amazing greeting cards which she sent to everyone. Most of all, she was devoted to her husband and raising her 2 boys.
Visitation on Wednesday, December 22 from 3-6 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, where the memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, December 23 at 11 am.
