Stephanie Dye

Obituary

Unexpectedly, but peacefully at home in Guelph on Saturday, April 15, 2023, Stephanie Carolyn Dye (Shaw), age 29 passed away. Beloved wife of Nick and loving mother of Kayden. Cherished daughter of Kathy and Brian Shaw and dear sister of Riley. Granddaughter of Ole and Edith Lodberg and the late Betty and Phil Shaw.

Stephanie was born in Calgary Alberta at Rockyview General Hospital at exactly 10:00 PM on Sunday, July 11th, 1993.  She spent the next 15 years in Langdon, Alberta making everlasting memories with her family and friends. She was a lover of everything Disney from a very young age. The family decision to move to Ontario to be closer with family when she was just 15 years old did little to dissuade her spirits.  Her smile and loving nature just continued to brighten more lives.

Stephanie quickly carved her own path with her fierce determination, strong will, and even stronger spirit, accomplishing one of her long-time dreams of living and working in Disney World in Florida. Despite what life threw at her, she was always seen smiling. She faced it all with empathy, kindness, and selflessness that was beyond her years and always found the bright side of life, always strove to help the smallest of voices, reach the highest of peaks. She saw the good in others, even when they might not have seen it themselves.  She was always ready to lend a hand, an ear, and a shoulder to cry on for everyone who needed it.

Stephanie was an artist, musician, a dancer, and always loved learning and trying new things. She devoted countless hours of her life to studying at the University of Guelph, where she was working towards her degree in Psychology, with a minor in Neuroscience. Through it all, she walked tall, proudly, and bravely for her entire life, staying true to herself, her values, her family and though she isn’t with us anymore, she will always be remembered.

Always.
