FLUTER, Stephen – With saddened hearts we announce the passing on Monday, November 13, 2023 of Stephen Richard Fluter of St. Thomas, age 53. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Alicia. Deeply loved by his children Evelyn, William, and Caitlin (Ziad). Cherished son of Gayle and William Fluter. Forever missed by his brother Matthew (Frank). Dear son-in-law of Jack and Rosemary Morgan and brother-in-law of Heather. A special person to his aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and his close friends.
Stephen had a strong work ethic and believed in a job well done. He was astute, always open to learning new things and had a brilliant mechanical mind. He possessed a wonderful sense of humour. He loved the water, sunsets, Canadian native trees and early mornings on the Course.
At work, he spent 20 years in the golf industry as an assistant superintendent at various golf courses throughout southwestern Ontario, his last assignment as general manager. He mentored many new employees during his career in golf. An avid sports enthusiast, he was a faithful fan of the Maple Leafs and Buffalo Bills. NASCAR was also something that he and his son Will enjoyed together. Stephen was a proud Banting Bronco and kept in touch with many friends from high school days.
Most of all he loved life with his family. He treasured time spent with them, whether outdoors boating and camping or at home enjoying music and caring for his cats. He was so proud of his children; his life revolved around them.
He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-loving-memory-of-stephen-fluter
