Obituary

Susan Shuttleworth

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Barbara Shuttleworth, nee Isard, announces her passing, on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the age of 79 years. While unexpected, she passed peacefully.

Susan will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend of 53 years, David, and her precious children, Christopher (Alecia), Kimberly, and Catherine (Jeff). Susan was a cherished “Gran” of Rylan, Peyton, and Clara, and was a loving sister to Stephen (Ruth) Isard. She will also be fondly remembered by her large extended family and dear friends.

Born July 10, 1941, Susan was raised in London Ontario by her loving parents Frederick James “Ted” (1962) and Ethel Clara (1989) Isard. Susan attended Central Secondary School, where she met David, and the University of Western Ontario before embarking on a career.

Susan found great fulfillment in teaching young children and was a member of faculty at many elementary schools over her long career. The dedication and love that she brought to the role created a lasting positive impact which many of her young pupils still remember today.

Susan also supported David with operation of the long time family business “The Little Tree Farm Garden Gallery,” a business established by her in-laws James Edgar “Ted” (2003) and Gladys Ethel (2005) Shuttleworth.

Susan was a lifetime member and devout servant of Metropolitan United Church; a community to which she generously gave her time over the years.
