Trevor Hawkins

Obituary

HAWKINS, Trevor – Peacefully at University Hospital on March 22, 2023, John Trevor Hawkins of London in his 88th year.  Beloved husband of the late Marion Kathleen Hawkins (2006).  Loving father of Craig (Lisa), Andrea Frank (Randy), and the late Jeff (2010), and father-in-law of Diane.  Proud grandfather of Alexandra, Connor, Kylie, Collin, Lily, Lucy, Maya and Scott.  Dear brother of Terry (Denise) of Peterborough.

Trevor was a jack of all trades, enjoying numerous professions throughout his life. From working in insurance, to driving a truck for Eaton’s, earning his PhD in Psychology, and running his printing and picture framing business, Trevor’s quiet curiosity took him on an interesting ride.  His favourite work may have been heritage research, where he delighted in discovering what once was. He was an avid reader and always seemed to know a little something about everything, especially trains. He always had a story to tell and enjoyed sharing the benefit of his experience with the people in his life, instilling the wisdom of the “company motto” for taking on life’s adventures.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Chartwell Riverside and Fox Hollow retirement homes and the many wonderful health care workers for their care and kindness.

Private family service will occur at a later date.  Interment Oakland of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
