Virginia Mae Tremblay

Obituary

Virginia Mae Tremblay, happily, lovingly married to her husband Donald Joseph Tremblay for over sixty years, passed away at home with her husband on March 29, 2024.

She and Don have always been blessed with an abundance of love in their life.  Friends with everyone she knew and always kind, Ginny would give the world to all those in her life and has had too many close friends to name. Showering her loved ones with her time, love, treats and gifts, she always showed you how much she cared.  To all of you, know how dear you were to mom’s heart.

Virginia was blessed to have her parents Fredda (née Macdonald) and George Dunning with her for so much of her life which she so deeply treasured, and they now have their girl joining them in spirit. Ginny was born in Cambridge on July 13, 1939 as the eldest of a family of five, mom grew up caring for her own siblings – Patricia (Al), Barb (the late Don), Susan (Bill), and Paul (Brigitte).  Starting her teaching career very young, her life was enhanced forever when she met the love of her life, Don, who found her all the way from Thunder Bay, and they settled in London. Don melded with the Dunning family and Ginny with the Tremblay family (Don’s brother Jim (Carroll), and parents Helen and Ernie) and this beautiful marriage touched the lives of many around London as well as their hometowns.

Having devoted her life to teaching children and supporting them through the Maycourt food program, Ginny was a natural parent to her daughters, Jennifer (Trépanier – Stéphan) and Nicole Tremblay (Rob Prober). She took great joy in her grandchildren, Isabelle and Jérémie, who she has showered with love in all ways, including through root beer floats, shortbread cookies, card games, puzzles and all the gifts she could find.

We did not expect her to leave us physically on Good Friday, but know her spirit and beautiful memories of her warm smile, beautiful blue eyes and her kind touches on the world will remain with us always.

We love you ❤️ !
