VISITATION

Visitation on Friday from 6-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. A Masonic Memorial Service under the auspices of Centennial Lodge #684 AF & AM will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 pm.

SERVICE

The funeral service will be conducted at the Church of St. Jude, 1537 Adelaide St. N. at Fanshawe Park Road, on Saturday, July 16 at 10:30 am. Interment, Woodland Cemetery.

Donations

Memorial contributions to the Fanshawe Pioneer Village (www.FanshawePioneerVillage.ca) or Heart & Stroke Foundation (www.HeartAndStroke.ca) would be appreciated.

Obituary

BARNETT, William Lloyd – Unexpectedly at University Hospital on Monday, July 11, 2022, W.L. “Bill” Barnett of London in his 82nd year.  Beloved husband for 60 years of Gail.  Loving father of John and his wife Deborah, Laura, Gordon and his wife Dorothea.  Proud Grandpa of Catherine, Jennifer, Matthew and Sophia.  Dear brother of Robert A. Barnett (Doreen) and Mary L. Spindler (Doug).  Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was very active in the Church of St. Jude, the Masonic Lodge, and the Rotary Club of London. His career began with London Metal Service and he served as its President for many years. He helped to establish the London Small Business Centre, supporting and serving the trades through extensive Board and Association involvement. He loved traveling, photography, canoeing, bird-watching and spending time in nature.  Bill also helped to set up the Bryson Centre for Scouts Canada and the Tin Shop and Rotary Office at Fanshawe Pioneer Village.
